Bryant Scholars are “mousing” around with Technology as they become Digital Age Learners. It shows as they dive into technology during their Computer Lab enrichment time. We have completed Reading and Math Inventory in the lab, ALL GRADES YEAH!!!. Our 3rd -5th grade scholars have started our 1st Challenge, SOS Challenge. The Safe Online Surfing challenge requires our scholars to complete various activities that inform and verify online safety provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Once the students have completed assigned activities, they will complete the Safe Online Surfing Assessment. The scholars’ performance on the assessment will be ranked amongst other schools nationally that are participating. Our Kdg- 2nd graders are being more proficient on using the keyboard and mouse as they navigate through various activities that review some of their English/Reading and Math concepts. When the scholars return from FALL BREAK, we will continue with Typing Practice and Home Row Keys as well as our other activities we started before break. *REMEMBER WE HAVE FALL BREAK SEPTEMBER 25-29. SEE YOU IN OCTOBER*

Computer Practice is in action. Bryant scholars are improving their mouse skills with practice activities and holding the mouse properly. Ask scholars to explain how to "HUG The MOUSE" and tell which finger is used to select/click. In addition our 3rd-5th scholars are starting to sharpen their keyboard skills by working on Typing Practice located under the MORE section above. The scholars are concentrating on typing the Home Row with the correct fingers and focusing on screen without looking down at the keys. It is definitely a process but the scholars are doing a good job.
