KDG classes are practicing letter recognition by identifying letters as fast as they can. 1st -5th grade classes are embracing the world of coding through Code.org. Students complete different activities, puzzles and games that lead into the world coding. Ask your students what an ALGORITHM is and how it used to move a character in a game. Scholastic has made their way into the Computer Lab. Students will be able to read engaging articles and interact with activities from magazines online while in the lab. Our Kdg. scholars current issue deals with Pilgrim Kids. Ask your Kdg. scholars how are Pilgrim kids lives alike and/or different from them. Each magazine is grade level appropriate and connects to our students. BE On The Look OUT for the TYPING CHALLENGE For 3rd- 5th students. We have a new program from Type To Learn that will help scholars build their typing skills. In addition the keyboard covers have arrived (THANKS AGAIN TO THE PTA FOR AWARDING THE LAB WITH GRANT FOR PURCHASE). The covers will be placed on the keyboards to help students learn the keys without looking at the actual keyboard. JUST REMINDER THANKSGIVING BREAK is November 20-24, 2017!!! Enjoy this time together!!!
